Douglas Rae was Minister of the First Baptist Church in Bloomington from 1935-1968. He was the founder of the Christian Center and a Board Member from 1939-1968. He served on the Bloomington Housing Authority, and was a Redevelopment Commissioner. He also worked with the Community Action program, the Juke Box Youth Recreation Center, and the Indiana University School of Religion.
