Noble Bush

Noble Bush was a 48-year employee of Johnson Creamery in Bloomington. He began working there when he was 14 years old and retired at the age of 62 in 1977. He loved sports and shared that love with the community by coaching baseball and basketball at Grandview Elementary School. As a charter member of the Bloomington Little League organization and a member of the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame, he directed Bloomington Little League for 10 years. During his time managing the Johnson Creamery Babe Ruth League team he took the Bloomington team to the national championships in 1957. The Bloomington Babe Ruth League established the Noble Bush Sportsmanship Award in 1979 in his honor. The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department dedicated Bush Field at Winslow Sports Complex in his honor.
