Elma Stevenson served for 50 years as a leader and judge in 4-H, and in homemakers’ work. She founded the Homemakers’ Movement in Owen and Monroe counties. She served as the Director of the Ellettsville Fall Festival. She was also active in Red Cross, USO, church, politics, and was a Charter Member of the National Needlework Guild.
